Amsterdam-May 2008

Matt 11:4-5
 4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and tell John again those things which you hear and see:
 5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

What a time I had in Amsterdam with my dear friends Pastors George and Ellen Arthur. They have been close friends for many years now, and they are now pioneering a church in the suburbs of Amsterdam. The Church is located in a very poor area with many refugees, and the neighbourhood is influenced by drugs.

The conference had already started when I came to Amsterdam, and Evangelist Craig Montella had preached the services. My first service was Saturday night, I preached from Romans 8:31, “Freedom from fear” after the service we prayed for the people in the church, many were instantly healed, one woman was delivered from an unclean spirit, and many other testified that God touched their lives. Sunday morning was time for children blessings service. I preached from Romans 8:33-34, “Freedom from condemnation”. Again many testified of healing, salvation and a manifestation of God’s power in their lives. Many children came for prayer. I believe God’s protection will be on every child I laid my hands on.

It was the right time for Amsterdam, and I believe that God is going to use the church in Amsterdam to spread the word. There are many plans and visions, and both my wife and I will be in prayer for what God wants to do in Amsterdam. I believe there is going to be an explosion of God’s miracle working power in Amsterdam. Pray for “World Harvest Church” in Amsterdam and “Impact Amsterdam”, and Pastors Ellen and George Arthur, I believe they will play a key role in what God is going to do in Amsterdam. Next and last meeting for us before the summer will be the 25th of May at my home church here in Drammen. Pray for that meeting. We do not know yet, what God has for us during the autumn. One thing we know is that we will be partners with what God is going to do in Amsterdam.
